Beloved San Jose Japantown institution Yu Ai Kai Senior Center has provided vibrant activities and services in support of the area's elders for decades. Partnering with the County of Santa Clara, its lunch program has been a particular favorite, but the pandemic has curtailed all congregant dining. That did not stop Yu Ai Kai: seniors and their caregivers now line up early outside to collect delicious takeout lunches, still prepared with great care on site in Yu Ai Kai's kitchen.
